News | Ministry | Goals | Prayers

Hello friend,

I hope you are well and blessed!! :)

I want to share some updates of some accomplishments, as well as news in my ministry.   Plus, some goals for my next steps in order for me to stay here and officially become YWAM Salem Staff! :)

I know, it seems like I've been a Staff in YWAM Salem for a long time already, but I’m not officially there yet.   Hahaha, that will happen after the week of August 7th to 11th!!

MINISTRIES:

God put in my heart the desire to serve Women and Foreigners, thus I have dedicated myself to these ministries that make my heart beat faster: A Group of Women with my Brazilian friends, named "Filhas do Rei" (“the King’s Daughters”) and FAN—Friends of All Nations, that focus on reaching international students and families in Salem and beyond.

Every Monday, since July 3rd, I have an online meeting with my Brazilian friends.  This meeting aims to make everyone feel in a safe place to open up, talk, be heard, be encouraged and also to learn more about the word of God.

We are already going to the 5th meeting and I have seen God bless us all greatly. There are women who began learning about the Gospel now, some others are returning to the Lord, and others who have been walking with God for a long time, but all of them have the same thirst for the presence of GOD!

It is amazing living what God has called me to do, serving at this women’s group that is growing and getting stronger at each new encounter!

At FAN Ministry, this summer we have participated in the Picnics that  our ministry partner in Portland, FOCUS | Friends of Overseas Citizens & University Students group organizes for the foreign students that attend schools in that area. 

At these events we have a great opportunity to meet new people from different nations, and along with having fun together we also share the Gospel through the friendships we make in each gathering.

Since early July, we have been facilitating a venue for the YWAM FCM | Foundation

Counseling Ministry school students, for them to be able to have their local 12 weeks outreach with our ministry.

By participating in each gathering & event, I am more convinced that this is a place that God wants me to be serving, because most of the foreigners we meet do not know about the gospel, some of them never hear about Jesus and the Bible, since they are from countries close to the Gospel.  So, befriending them is a way in which we can present the Good News to them!

ACHIEVEMENTS:

On the 20th of July I passed the Oregon driving knowledge test ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT, AND IN ENGLISH!!!   And I also got my first official Oregon State ID!

FINANCES GOALS AND NEXT STEPS:

To officially join the YWAM Salem Staff team by August 7, 2023, I need to have the minimum amount of $500 in hand.  A policy of the base that helps cover: housing, food and basic needs to live here.  In addition, I need at least approximately $500/month to help me with other expenses like: transportation/car, insurance, fees for my religious visa, plus extra for airline tickets.

Looking at the goals above, I take this opportunity to ask for your prayers.  Please, pray that our Father God will raise a Team of Supporters that would invest financially in my calling and in this new season of my life.  All help is welcome, especially Your prayers and intercession for my ministry!

If the Lord prompts your heart to contribute financially or even share my news & information with friends and family, please do so. These are the options I have available to receive financial gifts, and also to see God doing infinitely more than we can imagine!
